Time Limited Contact (TLC) Scheme

Wigan & Leigh Pensioners Link offers a free 'Time Limited Contact' scheme (referred to as TLC), which provides help with food shopping for up to six visits.  Our team will work with you to get your shopping list and make sure you have your essential food items while you are adjusting to a time of significant change.  

Once the shopping is delivered, our team can help with:
 

• Information & signposting to other services you may need

• Help to find social and community activities suitable for you 

The scheme provides this support for people aged 50 and over who are experiencing a time of significant change, for example:
 

• Coming out of hospital

• Experiencing practical difficulties resulting from the loss of a family member of friend

• Coping with a new illness or disability

• Moving into a new area

The scheme aims to help by reducing isolation, encouraging independence, helping older people to remain active and preventing a situation worsening and turning into a crisis.
